Vampirates

Well, here (at last) is one of the very few completed drawings i have done this year....

Someone mentioned the idea of 'Vampirates' ages ago and at the time I was enamoured of the idea and said that someday I would draw it....
then, in the course of discussions regarding Halloween costumes for the boy and I, the suggestion came up again and this sketch ensued during a lecture. I was greatly enamoured of the idea - i mean really, who wouldnt be? elegantly clad, blood-thirsty beautiful pirates, come on! - and would've loved to costume it, however many other (obviously tasteless) people said the idea was ridiculous....
anyways, i leave you to judge..... I had great fun with this, and feel good to actually have a finished drawing....though, yes i can see the mistakes; but it is the first time I've managed a relatively good male......and perhaps next year i can make it into a costume...
